Welcome, I'm Kera

Hello, I’m Kera. I created Seed to Self Counselling as a space where you can slow down, feel supported, and explore your experiences without judgment or pressure. My work is centered on safety, understanding, and gentle guidance, helping you navigate life’s challenges and connect with your own inner strength.

I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. My approach is client-centred and collaborative, supporting you as you explore your thoughts and emotions at a pace that feels right for you.

I am deeply passionate about this work and believe that no one should feel alone in what they’re carrying. My hope is to be someone you can come to when things feel heavy or when you don’t know where else to turn. I’m here to listen, to support, and to gently guide you as you move toward growth that feels steady, intentional, and uniquely yours.

Theoretical Orientation

My Approach

At the heart of my work is a person-centered, humanist perspective. I believe that you already carry the capacity for growth and healing — and my role is to provide the support, guidance, and safe space to help that emerge.

In our sessions, you can expect empathy, curiosity, and a pace that feels right for you. I draw inspiration from a variety of approaches, including:

  • Person-Centered Therapy

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Somatic and Mindfulness-Based Practices

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Compassion-Focused Work

  • Strengths-Based and Solution-Focused Approaches

Every session is different, shaped by your needs, your story, and what feels most supportive in the moment. Some days we may go deeper into reflection and exploration, while other days we may simply rest in the moment — always following what feels right for you.

My Credentials

I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), committed to providing professional, ethical, and compassionate support.

Education:

  • Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology

My training, combined with a person-centered, humanist approach, allows me to provide counselling that is tailored to your needs, supportive of your growth, and grounded in evidence-based practice.

Life Outside the Office

Outside of counselling, I spend time in nature, reading, and creative pursuits that help me stay grounded and present. I strive to live by my values of compassion, curiosity, and balance, and my connection to Newfoundland’s landscapes and communities continues to inspire both my work and my approach to life. These experiences remind me of the importance of reflection, self-care, and staying aligned with what matters most, which I bring into every session.

How Counselling Can Support You

Counselling at Seed to Self is about creating safety first. Here, you’ll find a calm, supportive environment to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace.

This work is collaborative and client-centered, focused on helping you build understanding, resilience, and a stronger connection to yourself.

You Might Be Here Because…

You’re seeking a space where you can slow down and be heard. You may feel anxious, low, or disconnected from yourself. Perhaps life has left you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next step.

This space is for anyone who wants to explore their thoughts and emotions safely, build self-understanding, and grow at their own pace. You don’t need to have all the answers—or even the right words—before you arrive. Here, your experience is valid, and support is here when you’re ready.
